Review - High Grade Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt FA-78 Full Armor Gundam.

This is the HG 1/144 scale model kit Thunderbolt FA-78 Full Armor Gundam of produced by Bandai 2016 Japan.

Photo of the final product.

Just before I share few things about this kit, firstly, I personally like reading comics of this kit series. At the moment I have Vol. 1 -4 and read them all. By reading all those actions makes me want to have kit of my own. So here I finally have Thunderbolt!

The design of this kit is spectacular and settle details (that’s how I prefer). The color scheme seems tough on its own and dramatic. All the weapons, armors and shields are beyond badass, except for the backpack though, it’s huge and ugly at some point. Sorry to say, I hate it a lot. The weight of the backpack isn’t that heavy but I love how the thruster are being positions perfectly and rectangular tanks!

The overall articulations are fine; only tinny tiny problems, few loosen joints are noticeable. Especially when I am about to make poses of this kit, it tends to fall down by gravity in such it gives pretty useless to deal with furthermore I ended up displaying it too simple (stand). It took me about 2-3 hours to fully assemble this kit (no big deal). Nubs are noticeable though, I have a lot of work cut off for this one and as usual me, I hate stickers (specifically wordings and logos) given regardless how coolest they are. I wish Bandai could change water decals instead stickers because my opinion to that, I believe all builders/modelers, they prefer long lasting marks instead stickers. Water decals are much cleaner process and long lasting.

Overall, this kit is the amazing! Nothing more to complain about. Good kit and I prefer High grade than Master grade for few reasons.

Here are few photos pose from this kit!

Do I have plans for this kit in future?
Hell ya! About probably 2 months ago, Bandai has announced premium product for very limited kit that I dream to have as my collection; HG 1/144 Full Armor Gundam Blue & Green Ver. Both of these kits are in my bucket lists. Sadly, it comes only 500 or 1000 units only (major defeated).

So here is what I can think of, I will transform my Thunderbolt kit into my dream kit. With huge modifications and time processing in order to make this happen. I am planning a slow WIP, although both (Thunderbolt and Full Armor Blue/Green Ver) design have a lot of similarities but redesign concept is time consuming. I will make it happen!

That’s all for my reviews for High Grade Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt FA-78 Full Armor Gundam.

Essentially all base on my opinions and personal reviews for this post.

Coming up next blog: Updated Location

Upcoming event: I will update new version of my logo (blog) soon! More simpler and clean edge!

Again- Sorry for the delay, I am now officially freedom to say the least. Just last week I ended my second last semester (final year). Well not literally free, I have one huge project to deal with for the upcoming project that will be happen next year April 2016!
